Myanmar records 174 new Covid-19 cases, no death for seven consecutive days

A total of 174 new Covid-19 cases had been detected over the past 24 hours in Myanmar, the Ministry of Health announced on the night of January 30.

New cases were found after 9,285 lab tests were carried from 8pm of January 29 to 8pm of January 30.

Till 8pm of January 30 from the start of the outbreak, 6,345,348 lab samples were tested and 535,254 cases detected. There have been no reports of deaths for seven consecutive days.

Moreover, 92 patients were discharged from hospitals during the past 24 hours bringing the total number of those discharged to 513,193.

The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, all regions and states.
