Myanmar records 137 new Covid-19 cases, one more death

According to the information released by the Ministry of Health at 8pm of January 9, a total of 8,822 Covid-19 lab samples were tested and among them, 137 new cases were detected over the past 24 hours in Myanmar.

Up till 8pm of January 9 since the outbreak in the country, a total of 6,131,776 lab samples were tested and of them, 532,062 were reported. The death toll has reached 19,291 as one more death was reported over the past 24 hours.

Moreover with 178 patients discharged from hospitals on January 9, the total number of patients discharged has reached 510,128.

The lab samples were tested at the labs of the Ministry of Health,  by means of GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council Regions and States,  at the 1000 bedded Yangon Military Hospital 1, 1000 bedded Nay Pyi Taw Military Hospital 1, 700 bedded PyinOoLwin Military Hospital 1, 100 bedded Lashio Military Hospital 9, by Kalaymyo Military Mobile PRC Team, in private hospitals and clinics, and by means of  COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Tests conducted in hospitals and Public Health Departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States.
