Myanmar has received a wave of international humanitarian aid following the recent earthquake, with relief supplies arriving from UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO), China, Pakistan, and others.

The government has been conducting rapid damage assessments and facilitating the timely delivery of foreign assistance. On the morning of April 3, a Rom Cargo Airline flight landed at Yangon International Airport carrying 484 boxes (78,736 kg) of medicine, consumer goods, and relief materials provided by UNICEF Myanmar. The supplies, originating from Al Maktoum Airport and en route to Dubai, will be distributed to earthquake-affected regions in Myanmar.

Later the same day, a cargo plane from Moalem Aviation arrived from Kolkata, India, with 148 packages (34,588 kg) of medicine and health kits donated by WHO. The supplies were received by officials from Myanmar’s Ministry of Health and Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, alongside WHO representatives.

Also on April 3, an Air China flight carrying 6,680 bags (90,787 kg) of food, tarpaulins, and bottled water donated by the Chinese government and people arrived from Beijing. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and other officials welcomed the aid at the airport.

A Cathay Pacific Cargo Flight from Hong Kong later delivered over HK$2.1 million worth of emergency supplies—including hygiene kits, solar lanterns, blankets, medicines, ready-to-eat meals, and tents—donated by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.

Additionally, on the evening of April 2, a My Freighter LLC cargo flight from Pakistan arrived with relief supplies and medicines for those affected by the earthquake.

The relief goods, which included tents, blankets, tarpaulins, water tanks, medicines, and (MRE) ready meals, totaling 35,497 kg, were welcomed and coordinated by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and regional government ministers upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, Mingalardon Air Base Headquarters Brigadier General Saw Sunny and senior military officers, Pakistan Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Imran Haider and embassy officials, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

The relief goods were loaded onto vehicles  and then transported to Nay Pyi Taw for distribution to earthquake-affected areas.
