Myanmar Prime Minister U Nyo Saw met with Chinese Vice President Mr. Han Zheng to discuss the promotion of trade and investment activities, according to reports.
The meeting took place on the evening of September 16 at the Liyuan State Guest House in Nanning City, where Prime Minister U Nyo Saw is currently visiting.
During the talks, the two sides discussed enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation for the socio-economic development of their peoples, further promoting mutually beneficial trade and investment projects, strengthening joint efforts to combat cross-border crimes including drug trafficking, human trafficking, and online fraud, as well as China’s continued humanitarian support to Myanmar, such as assistance to earthquake victims in Mandalay.
Accompanying the Prime Minister were Union Ministers Dr. Charlie Than, U Chit Swe, and Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, Myanmar Ambassador to China U Tin Maung Swe, and other officials.
Later in the evening, the Prime Minister attended a gala dinner for the 22nd China–ASEAN Expo and the China–ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, together with leaders from ASEAN and other invited countries.
