Myanmar Defence Minister meets with CMC’s vice-chairman in Beijing

Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San met with Vice-Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC) Zhang Youxia, in Beijing on October 29 and they discussed about maintaining stability in the border areas, according to Chinese-owned Media CCTV. 

Admiral Tin Aung San arrived in Beijing to attend 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum which held from October 29 to 31.

At the meeting, the CMC vice-chairman said the special pauk-phaw friendship between China and Myanmar has grown even stronger than before. 

“China supports Myanmar in advancing its peace process, and hopes that Myanmar will work with China to ensure security and stability in the border areas, adding that the Chinese side is ready to deepen strategic mutual trust, strengthen practical cooperation in various fields and maintain a high-level of relations with the Myanmar military,” said the CMC vice-chairman.

Defence Minister Admiral Tin Aung San said that Myanmar is willing to continue working with the Chinese military to promote all-round cooperation between the two militaries, maintain stability in the border areas, consolidate and develop relations between the two countries and the two militaries.
