Host Myanmar women team won a narrow victory over India at the first qualifying round of 2020 Tokyo Olympic (Asia Zone) on November 13 and reached to second qualifying round.

Myanmar team fielded its strong squad and led the game in 2nd minutes from a goal by Striker Win Theingi Tun. India pressed forward to equalize and their goal came in 24th minutes from a direct free kick. Myanmar applied pressure on their counterpart after the break and the away team defended hard. Win Theingi Tun and Yee Yee Oo missed a goal scoring opportunity each in second half and Nge Nge Htwe scored the winning goal in 83rd minutes.

In other match of Group C, Nepal and Bangladesh drew 1-1. Nepal scored their goal in first half and Bangladesh equalized in the dying minutes. Both Myanmar and India reached to second qualifying stage after Nepal drew the level with Bangladesh. Myanmar topped the group with seven points in Group C and India followed with four points. A total of ten teams are qualified for the second qualifying stage.
