Myanmar and ROK discuss parliamentary cooperation matters

Myanmar parliament goodwill delegation led by T Khun Myat, Patron of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Union Parliament) and Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw (Lower House) had a meeting with the Korean delegation led by Republic of Korea’s National Assembly Speaker Mr. Moon Hee-sang at the meeting hall of the latter’s office on October 2, reported by Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Office on October 3.

Both speakers spotlighted mutual friendship and cooperation, parliamentary cooperation, and legislative matters of the parliament.

Next, Myanmar parliament goodwill delegation made observations around the main hall of Republic of Korea’s National Assembly after which they were hosted a luncheon by Republic of Korea’s National Assembly Speaker Mr. Moon Hee-sang.

Present on the occasion of the luncheon were Pyithu Hluttaw Judicial and Legal Affairs Committee Chairman Tin Htwe, Pyithu Hluttaw Electricity and Energy Development Committee Chairman Kyi Moe Naing and Pyithu Hluttaw Ethnic Affairs and Internal Peace Implementation Committee members Kyin Wan and Tun Kyaw and Myanmar Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Thant Sin.

Afterwards, the Myanmar Hluttaw delegation accompanied by ROK officials visited the ROK’s National Assembly Library, Hyundai Motor Studio and Sejong Culture Centre.
