Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar, Dr Md Monwar Hossain at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw at 10 am on July 17, sources said.
During the meeting, they had a friendly and open exchange of views regarding the further promotion of cooperation that will bring benefits to the two countries including the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Bangladesh, bilateral trade and investment, tourism and people-to-people interaction.
Similarly, the Union Minister for Education, Dr Nyunt Pe, and the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar met at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Education Office No.13 in Nay Pyi Taw at 11 am on July 11.
During the meeting, they discussed the issues of further promoting cooperation between the two countries in the education sector between Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Dr Zaw Myint and Dr Moe Zaw Tun, Deputy Ministers for Education, Permanent Secretary Dr Soe Win and officials attended the meeting.
