As the number of COVID-19 patients has dropped, some treatment centres, including the ones from the military, said Dr. Htun Myint, Director of Yangon Region Public Health and Medical Services Department.
At the moment there are only 2400 remaining in all treatment centres.
Dr Htun Myint said, " As regards Positive patients right now, there are mainly nine treatment centres. Now apart from the two main hospitals, Weibarghi hospital and South Okkalapa hospital there are seven newly opened treatment centres. In these places there are only about 1500 patients. In the army sector only two places remain. Previously there were eight places. As regards treatment in these places there remain a little over 370. Therefore in the treatment centres and those in the army sector the number of patients is about 1900. As for the remaining patients we have patients in hospitals this side. If they are added up there will be about 2400 in hospitals".
