There will be no shortage of fuel under current conditions and people don’t need to buy and store fuel more than needed due to rumors of fuel shortages, according to the Ministry of Energy (MOE).

According to the Ministry of Energy, under the supervision of the Supervisory Committee on Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil, pre-storage and distribution of fuel in storage tanks in the Thilawa port area until the second week of August 2024, in addition to continuous access by foreign fuel tankers, has been arranged.

Since the middle of July, due to continuous rains in various parts of the country and flooding in some places, normal operations at the terminals in the Thilawa port area have been slightly delayed. In the transportation of oil tankers to various regions, due to the road conditions of some regions, there is a slight delay in the arrival of the tanker trucks, so before the arrival of the tanker trucks, some types of fuel are being systematically verified and sold in order to prevent a temporary shortage. The Ministry of Energy has said that plans are being made to move fuel sent to stores that are temporarily closed due to flooding to stores that need them.

Therefore, the Ministry of Energy has said that the public don’t need to buy, store, and raise the price and resell it more than they need due to the rumors that there will be a shortage of gasoline soon, to buy and spend only the amount they need to use and there is a systematic inspection on the fuel stations, which have fuel, to sell the fuel and according to the current situation, there is no shortage of fuel.
