Minor earthquake of magnitude 4.5 hits near Hseinwi Town

A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale struck near Hseinwi township, northern Shan State, in the early hours of December 9, according to a statement from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

The statement indicated that the earthquake occurred at approximately 3:28 AM on December 9. 

The epicenter was located 69 miles northeast of the Thipaw Seismological Station, within Myanmar's territory, about seven miles northeast of Hseinwi Township.

 The coordinates of the epicenter were 23.38°N latitude and 98.03°E longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
