The Ministry of Labor’s Safe Migration program has announced that foreign employment agencies will undergo scrutiny in Nay Pyi Taw concerning worker remittances.

Agencies that sent workers abroad between September and December 2024 are required to appear at the Safe Migration headquarters on August 25 to submit evidence of family remittances.

Safe Migration has urged agencies to comply with the reporting schedule without fail. Agencies that fail to submit reports on the specified dates will face fines and suspension of their right to submit new Demand Letters.
