Military Chief meets Vietnamese PM’s Special Envoy

YANGON- Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services met with Nguyen Quoc Dung, Special Envoy of Vietnamese Prime Minister, who is also Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, at Bayintnaung Guest House in Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday morning, according to the announcement of the officer of the  Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.

On the occasion, both sides discussed about cooperation in military training, technology and security affairs, Tatmadaw’s efforts being carried out Bengalis’ affairs, internal peace and achieving stability in northern Rakhine State together with the government and the support of the Vietnam.

The announcement also reported that strengthening of bilateral relationship, exchange of goodwill visit between the two countries and boosting of trade were discussed.

Later, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the Special Envoy exchanged commemorative gifts and took a documentary photo.

Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Vietnamese Ambassador Luan Thuy Duong and military attaché Colonel Nguyen Duc Giang.
