According to announcement by state-owned MRTV channel on March 15, the State Administration Council had issued another order to martial law, this time including North and South Dagon, Dagon Seikkan and North Oakkalapa townships. 

Martial law enables: “To be able to take more effective measures for the security, rule of law and community peace and tranquility, the Yangon Region Command Commander has been entrusted with administrative, judicial and military powers under Section 419 of the Constitution. “

As of now, Shwepyithar, Hlaingtharyar, North and South Dagon, Dagon Seikkan and North Oakkapala have been placed under martial law. 

Under the martial law, the miltiary court will oversee all judicial cases and able to sentence to execution, life in prison or at least three years in prison with or without hard labour and a monetary fine.
