Mandalay Region has increased COVID-19 cases

The numbers of COVID-19 infection rate has increased again in Mandalay and there were some fatal cases according to Ministry of Health and philanthropic associations.

Since early February, the numbers of COVId-19 patients in the region has sharply increased according to the data issued by the Ministry.

“Today, we have many cases of COVID-19. We’ve sent the dead body of a man died of COVID-19 from Mandalay hospital to Aye Yeik Nyein cemetery. In Mandalay, COVID-19 cases have recently increased,” said a man from the Parahita Min Khaung philanthropic association.

At the moment, COVID-19 positive patients are placed at the Mandalay traditional medicine university and being treated there. In 7 townships of Mandalay Region, there are 79 cases of COVID-19 from February 1 to 10 and Aung Myay Tharzan Township has the most COVID-19 cases.
