EMBRAER 190 plane flying Yangon to Dawei and Kawthoung to Dawei from Myanmar National Airline (MNA) had to land at Yangon International Airport during its take-off as its landing gear was in failure.

EMBRAER 190 plane left Yangon International Airport for Dawei at about 10 am on September 29. The plane faced landing gear failure when it was at the mouth of the river where it meets sea and that it had to land at Yangon International Airport and in need of repair.

The speed of the plane was faster than ever when it landed at Yangon International Airport following the announcement of landing gear problem by the pilot, said a flight passenger.

The nose wheel landing gear of EMBRAER 190 plane faced irregularities. For that reason the plane had to land at Yangon International Airport, said pilot Captain Myat Moe Aung.

The nose wheel landing gear already expired and so the old nose wheel landing gear had to be replaced with the new one. A lot of flight testing was made for the plane with the new nose wheel landing gear before this incident.

“The plane had to land because of landing gear failure. It comes with warranty, for example, five years or ten years. We already made flight testing. At that time weight was not included. Now is also the minor case. The plan is now under repair,” said Captain Myat Moe Aung.

The passengers aboard EMBRAER 190 plane were carried by ART plane to their destination.
