The Kokang Ethnic Literary and Culture Association announced on August 7 that it does not accept and condemn the terrorist acts of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA).

The statement of Kokang Ethnic Literary and Culture Association stated that the innocent local people, families of government employees and security forces were killed and some were forcibly taken away by the MNDAA after they attacked residential houses, wards and the military hospital in Lashio Township, Northern Shan State using heavy and small weapons and drone attacks.

The Kokang Ethnic Literature and Culture Association stated that the actions of the terrorist insurgent MNDAA are completely unacceptable and condemned as they attacked and destroyed residential houses, religious buildings and hospital buildings which made local residents forced to leave their homes and to lose the social life.
