Bangkok - Thailand’s hope to make an impact in the Asian Cup looked in doubt after they lost to Oman 0-2 in a warm-up game at the Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

The Milovan Rajevac’s side, despite having three main players including Teerasil Dangda and Chanathip Songkrasin, conceded the first goal in the 13th minute to Ahmed Kano and the second in the 77th minute to Mohsin Al Ghasani.

The defeat will cause physological damage to the Kingdom’s team which returned to the Cup Finals for the first time in 12 years.

Thailand aims at reaching the round of 16. They will play their opening game with India in Group A on Sunday.
