The government is currently compiling data by region and state to ensure that necessary support is provided to citizens who have been temporarily displaced due to ongoing security threats and natural disasters.

The Chairman of State Administration Council delivered a speech at the Union Government Meeting held on January 17 that concerning national disaster management, efforts are being made to extend assistance to displaced citizens through the National Disaster Management Fund. 

The National Disaster Management Committee (NDMC) emphasized that security threats, including attacks by armed insurgents, fall under the definition of natural disasters as outlined in Section 2(b) of the Disaster Management Law.

These displacements are primarily due to insurgent attacks in towns and villages, leading not only to physical displacement but also to heightened security concerns. 

The displaced population includes those who have sought refuge in temporary shelters such as monasteries, as well as those staying with relatives, in rental housing, or in other arrangements.

Authorities are encouraging local departments and organizations to collaborate in compiling comprehensive records of all displaced individuals to ensure they receive the planned assistance. 

Residents are also urged to actively participate in the registration process so that support can be effectively distributed to everyone in need.
