Fuel prices rise again by over 100 kyats per litre after three-week decline

Fuel prices, which had fallen for about three weeks, have risen again this week by at least 100 kyats per litre, according to prices released by the Fuel Import, Storage and Distribution Supervisory Committee.

According to the prices announced on June 20, the prices of fuel sold in Yangon were 2,960 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 3,030 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,500 kyats per litre for diesel, and 3,100 kyats per litre for premium diesel.

According to the fuel prices sold last week, fuel prices sold in Yangon were 2,850 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 2,919 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,410 kyats per litre for diesel, and 2,990 kyats per litre for premium diesel.

As a result, the price of 92 Ron has increased by 110 kyats per litre, 95 Ron by 111 kyats per litre, diesel by 90 kyats per litre, and premium diesel by 110 kyats per litre.

The Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) has announced that it will sell $33 million in foreign exchange to fuel importers.

On June 18, the CBM sold over $1.68 million of the foreign currency purchased from CMP companies in FX Trading to companies importing cooking oil.

The CBM announced on June 18 that of the $10 million announced to be sold by the CBM in FX Trading, more than $1 million was sold to companies importing other goods.

On June 16, it sold more than $1.3 million of the foreign currency purchased from CMP companies in FX Trading to companies importing cooking oil.

Of the $10 million announced by the CBM to be sold at FX Trading, more than $1 million was used to import other goods announced, the CBM on June 16.

The CBM announced on May 6 that it will sell $33 million and 200 million baht to fuel oil companies in May 2025. On May 6, it will sell more than 390,000 yuan, more than 700,000 dollars on May 7,  more than 700,000 yuan and 5.3 million baht on May 8, more than 3.6 million baht on May 9, more than 800,000 dollars and 1.5 million baht on May 12, and more than 23.67 million dollars and 50 million baht to fuel oil companies on May 13. On May 13, it sold more than $1.62 million, more than 4.3 million baht on May 14, more than $100,000 and more than 3 million baht on May 15, more than $300,000 and more than 1.6 million baht on May 16, more than $3 on May 19, more than $560,000 on May 20, more than $120,000 on May 21, more than 5.7 million baht on May 22, more than 900,000 yuan and more than 2 million baht on May 23, more than $280,000, 300,000  yuan and more than 2.8 million baht on May 26, and $30 million on May 27 to fuel importers. More than 4.3 million baht was sold on May 28.
