Four men from Yephyu, Phyu, Hpa-kant and Madaya townships were shot dead in one day, according to sources released by Myanmar Police Force.
A 45-year-old man, U Tun Zaw Oo, living in Leshaung Village, Yephyu Township, Taninthayi Region, was shot dead by three PDF (people’s defence force) members arriving on two motorbikes while he at his home at 11am on March 4.
Receiving information that a man was shot to death at his home in Nandameik Village, Phyu Township, Bago Region, at about 11.20 am on the same day, security forces went to the scene and found the dead body of the 38-year-old man called U Po Chit. Investigation found out that the man was shot at home by an unknown man, who fled after gun firing. U Po Chit was killed after a bullet had pierced his stomach.
In Mawone Ward, Hpa-kant Township, Kachin State also, a 40-year-old man was shot dead in front of a tea shop by two men riding a motorbike while he was walking alone at 5.45pm on March 4. Ko Aung Naing died of bullet wounds at the scene.
At 6pm on the same day, a man aged 25 was shot dead in Luntaung Village, Madaya Township, Mandalay Region. Ye Win Maung was shot and killed by four unidentified men while he was at a hut near a betel quid shop outside the village.
MPF said security forces are taking measures to expose and arrest the murderers.
