Yangon United FC, the reigning champions of the MNL and General Aung San Knock-out Shield, agreed to extend contracts with young striker Aee Soe, winger Soe Min Naing and goalie Kyaw Zin Htet within a few days before AFF Suzuki Cup 2018.

Striker Aee Soe and goalie Kyaw Zin Htet have now been on a lineup of Myanmar national men’s football squad participating in the AFF Suzuki Cup. But winger Soe Min Naing is not on the current lineup.

Goalie Kyaw Zin Htet signed a two-year extension contract, striker Aee Soe one-year extension contract and Soe Min Naing one-year extension contract respectively.

Yangon Utd would like Aee Soe to sign a long contract, but the player agreed to sign only one season. Although Kyaw Zin Htet extended the contract with Yangon Utd, the Myanmar selected goalie will be out of action in all first legs in the upcoming football season as he was banned from playing for 12 matches due to his physical attack on the referee in the final match of General Aung San Shield 2018 Knock-out.
