Discussions made with companies on Rakhine investments

With the aim of enabling the local and foreign companies which have signed the Expression of Interest (EOI) to launch their operations in Rakhine State, a coordination meeting was held at the office of Rakhine State government on April 6.

Rakhine State Chief Minister Nyi Pu said: “The main purpose of this meeting is to discuss programs for the launch of investments resulted from the Rakhine State Investment Fair 2019 held on Ngapali Beach. I would like to urge business persons and companies to discuss the programs in a transparent manner. The government and relevant departments will provide necessary assistance.”

“Private organizations are required to implement good prospects in Rakhine State, in cooperation with the government. All of you are urged to make detailed discussions for the submission of investment proposals in addition to the EOI. Relevant departments are urged to discuss the plans submitted by companies to ensure the rapid implementation of a healthy investment environment,” he said.

At the Rakhine State Investment Fair 2019 held on Ngapali Beach, 27 companies submitted the EOI and two companies project proposals. In addition, there was a MoU signing at the fair.
