A delegation led by Kishor Shrestha, vice chairman of World Press Council and chairman of Press Council Nepal, visited the Eleven Media Group headquarters in Tharkayta Industrial Zone, Tharkayta township, Yangon Region, on February 19 and studied the functions of the press. 

The six-member Nepalese delegation together with Ohn Kyaing, chairman of Myanmar Press Council, and council members arrived at the EMG headquarters on the evening of February 19. EMG Executive Director Min Thaw Htut, Managing Director Dr Thein Myint and editorial members received the guests. 

At the meeting hall, the guests were briefed on the history  and functions of the EMG through a documentary video clip. 

Next, Policy Director Wai Phyo explained the EMG’s stand and policy and functions. 

Executive Director Min Thaw Htut and the vice chair of the World Press Council made discussions, and the former answered the queries.  

Then, the Nepalese delegation viewed each section of the EMG and studied the studio and the presses. 

In the evening, a dinner was hosted by the delegation at Function Hall of the EMG. It was attended by EMG Executive Director Min Thaw Htut, Managing Director Dr Thein Myint, chief editors and editorial members, the delegation led by Chairman of Press Council of Nepal Kishor Shrestha, and members of Myanmar Press Council led by Chairman Ohn Kyaing. 

On November 18, 2019, a delegation headed by Thai Press Council Chairman Chavarong Limpattamapanee and a group led by the chairman of Myanmar Press Council visited the EMG headquarters and studied its inner workings.
