The number of COVID-19 cases is gradually increasing, with 31 new infections reported within a one-week period, according to the Ministry of Health.
From June 1 to June 8, a total of 2,154 suspected COVID-19 cases were tested, of which 31 were confirmed positive. This represents a positivity rate of 1.44%. No deaths have been reported during this period.
In comparison, from May 25 to June 1, only 17 COVID-19 cases were detected. Most of the newly confirmed cases are from various townships within the Yangon Region.
The data indicates a noticeable rise in COVID-19 infections compared to previous weeks.
