China to provide 3m Yuan’s worth of Covid-19 medical supplies, 300,000 units of Covid-19 vaccines for Myanmar

President Win Myint and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed China’s provision of Yuan 3 million worth of Covid-19 medical supplies and 300,000 units of Covid-19 vaccines for Myanmar, according to a press release issued by the President Office. 

The President received the Chinese delegation led by State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Hall for Envoys of the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw on January 11.  

At the meeting, both sides discussed friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, China’s plan to donate Yuan 3 million worth of Covid-19 medical supplies and 300,000 units of Covid-19 vaccines to Myanmar, continued implementation of the Myanmar-China Cultural and Tourism Year in 2021 and continued cooperation and implementation of ongoing bilateral projects. 

Also present at the call were Union Ministers Min Thu, Thaung Tun, Kyaw Tin and Thant Sin Maung and government officials, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Chen Hai and senior Chinese officials.
