The bodies of three teenagers who drowned and went missing under a moat-crossing bridge connecting Socialist Ward and MyoU Kin detour road in Bago after jumping into the water for playing on the evening of June 24 have been found, according to local residents who helped with search and rescue work.
Those who drowned were an 18-year-old girl, her 13-year-old younger sister and a boy living in Ward No.6 near new MyoU Kin Ward.
“They went outside on their bicycles after saying that they were going to buy some clothes. As they did not come back after a certain period, we started looking for them and found their bikes near the bridge. We searched them in the water,” said a local resident who helped with the search and rescue work along with rescue teams including the one from Bago Township Fire Services Department.
