Ayeyawady regional government met with the mass of local people in Zalun Township, Ayeyawady Region on September 23.
“Budget comes through the people and it runs through bottom up system. People need to understand budget. People gave suggestions to parliamentarians that which school and road are more important in their village in their township.
“We note down their suggestions. We will make field trips and we will scrutinize their suggestions. After scrutiny, expenditures will be calculated.
“After calculating the expenses, the parliamentarians hold the project implementation committee during which the first, the second and the third priorities are given. There are region budget and Union budget. For that reason, people need to understand types of budgets,” said Win Htay, Minister for Electricity, Energy, Industries and Transport.
The chief minister, cabinet members and heads of departments attended the mass meeting and replied to the questions of the people.
The people asked questions of health, education, electricity, transport and water supply during the meeting.
