Authorities have issued “Stay at home” order for the second time in Aunglan, Magway Region as voters and people, who went to celebrate the NLD party election winning campaign, are found infected with COVID-19 virus, sources said.

“Three out of four people, who lost their sense of smell and taste, are found infected with the virus. They visited polling stations to cast votes and also attended the party election winning campaign. Although the authorities banned the gatherings, they didn’t obey. Local infection rate is increased so the stay home order is issued from November 13 to 27. People who don’t obey the order will be taken action,” said an official from the healthcare department.

There are about 150 COVID-19 confirmed patients in Aunglan and nearly 50 of them are locally transmitted. The authorities issued “Stay at home” order in Aunglan in October as people, who don’t have travel history and who don’t have contact with the positive patients, were found infected with the COVID-19 virus.
