Some artists who were arrested and prosecuted under Section 505 (a) were released on the night of July 7, sources said.

Those who were freed were actress May Panche, singer May La Than Sin, actress Myat Thu Thu and singer Shwe Yi Thein Tan.

It was reported that they were prosecuted for some of the posts they posted on their social network pages about the attack on Pazigyi Village in Kantbalu Township, Sagaing Region last April.

Reportedly, journalist U Kyaw Min Swe was among those who were freed on the night of July 7, along with four artists.

Journalist U Kyaw Min Swe was also arrested in April in connection with the post he wrote in social media about attack in Pazigyi Village, reports said.

U Kyaw Min Swe, the editor-in-charge of The Voice journal, was charged with Section 505(a) at the Sanchaung Township police station after he wrote on his Facebook account expressing regret about the airstrike in Pazigyi Village, Kantbalu Township.
