About 85 percent of those who died of Covid-19 in Myanmar were already suffering from a certain disease, said Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Myint Htwe.  

They were suffering from an underlying disease such as hypertension, diabetes or heart disease. As doing physical exercise can prevent such diseases, a person in the habit of doing regular physical exercise can prevent death even if infected with Covid-19, the minister said. 

It is still known how long a person who has been vaccinated against Covid-19 will maintain his resistance. Therefore, flowing the Covid-19 prevention guidelines and staying resistant by doing a suitable physical exercise will be beneficial in the long-term, the minister commented. 

There are still over 60,000 people at over 6,300 quarantine sites nationwide with over 10,000 people in quarantine in Ayeyawady Region, according to the Ministry of Health and Sports. 

There are 260 quarantine sites with over 8,100 people in Yangon Region, over 1,000 sites with over 7,000 people in Bago Region, over 580 sites with over 3,200 people in Magway Region, over 940 sites with 5,800 people in Sagaing Region, over 200 sites with over 2,100 people in Kachin State, over 300 sites with over 5,700 people in Mandalay Region, over 380 sites with over 2,900 people in Kayin State, over 290 sites with over 2,100 people in Rakhine State, over 110 sites with over 2,600 people in Shan State (South), over 150 sites with over 1,600 people in Taninthayi Region, over 30 sites with over 2,900 people in Mon State, over 450 sites with over 1,500 people in Shan State (North), nine sites with over 1,700 people in Nay Pyi Taw, over 20 sites with over 1,000 people in Shan State (East), over 380 sites with over 2,900 people in Kayin State and over 30 sites with over 480 people in Chin State.
