ANA reduces some of its flights in Myanmar

All Nippon Airways (ANA) is reduced some of the daily direct flights between Myanmar and Japan due to COVID-19.

The ANA is flying daily direct flight between Narita airport and Yangon International Airport (YIA).

The airline suspended its flights on March 25, 27 and 30 and on April 2, 6, 7, 11, 15, 16 and 23.

Moreover, the airline will change flight schedules this summer. It will depart from the YIA at 21:45 and arrived at Narita airport at 6:50+1. The flight will depart from the airport at 12:00 and arrived in the YIA at 17:00.

Only eight airlines are operating at Yangon International Airport (YIA) as most of the airlines are suspended their operations across the world due to the outbreak of COVID-19, said an official from the YIA.

The eight airlines are 9 Air, China Eastern Airlines, JC Cambodia Airlines, Myanmar National Airlines, Myanmar Airways International, Neos, Sichuan Airlines, and Thai Airways.

Only airlines from China stop operating at the YIA from February and now most of the airlines are suspended their flights, according to the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA).

A total of 37 international flights were operated at the YIA and more than 500,000 passengers entered the YIA during January. On February, 32 international flights were operated at the YIA and over 300,000 passengers entered it.
