The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced the draws of the group stage of AFC Cup 2019 and Yangon United FC or Zwekapin United FC will host Home United from Singapore. Shan United FC will play away match with a Philippines club.

Yangon United FC, Tampines Rovers from Singapore, Hanoi from Vietnam and Nagaworld from Cambodia are included in Group F. Shan United FC, Ceres Negros or Davao Aguilas from Philippines, Liga 1 Champion from Indonesia and Becamex Binh Duong from Vietnam are in the Group G. The group matches will be played home and away matches and Yangon United, Ceres Negros and Indonesian league champion team will play pre-qualifying match of Asia Champions League. If they are qualified for the Champions League, third place teams will replace them in AFC Cup 2019. Yangon United and Shan United will use Thuwanna Stadium as their home grounds.

Although the AFC hosted group matches from second week of February last year, it will hold in last week of February next year. The group matches will be ended on May 15 and a top team from each group and the best second place team will be qualified for semi-final of ASEAN zone. The winner of the ASEAN zone will be played with winners from East Asia, South Asia and Middle zones from semi-finals and final and the winner from those four teams will be competed with West Asia zone winner in the final. Myanmar clubs reached only semi-final stage of ASEAN zone in the competition.
