A businessman and his driver killed near Kachin’s Insian village

MYITKYINA------A businessman who is working in road construction work and his driver were killed by an armed group near Insian village on Myitkyina-Puta-O road, Kachin State, according to the locals. 

The locals who were close to the family members of victims said that a businessman and his driver were found dead with gunshot and stab wounds near Insian village on Myitkyina-Puta-O road, Kachin State in the morning of March 30th.

The name of businessman was Zaw Win and he was 55 year-old. He is an owner of three companies.

“He was very good-natured. He worked at the road construction sites in Kachin State, since the beginning of 2016. Moreover, most of roads on Puta-O road were constructed by the companies being owned by Zaw Win. As he worked in road construction sites in Injangyang Township and Hpa-kant, he had been appropriated by the KIA as well as he was close with all armed groups,” said one of the business partners of Zaw Win.
