861 new Covid-19 cases reported in Myanmar

A total of 861 new Covid-19 cases had been detected over the past 24 hours in Myanmar, the Ministry of Health announced on the night of February 1.

New cases were found after 39,983 lab tests were tested from 8pm of January 31 to 8pm of February 1.

Till 8pm of February 1 from the start of the outbreak, 6,393621 lab samples were tested, 536,393 cases detected and 19,310 patients died.

Moreover,143 patients were discharged from hospitals during the past 24 hours bringing the total number of those discharged to 513,416.

The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, all regions and states.
