Myanmar reported 5,189 new Covid-19 cases and 281 deaths in a single day, the ministry of health and sports reported at 8pm news hours of July 19.
The new cases were found after a total samples of 13,961 had been tested from July 18 at 8:00 pm to July 19 at 8:00 pm.
There were a total of 234,710 cases and 281 deaths nationwide till July 19, according to the ministry.
On July 19, the hospitals in various regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw reported 27 cases; No (1) Defence Services Hospital in Yangon 324 cases; No (2) Defence Services Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw 462 cases; No (9) Defence Services Hospital in Lashio one case; private hospitals and clinics 49 cases; hospitals in various regions and states (with Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test) 1,019 cases; and public health departments in regions and states (with Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test) 3,307 cases.
A total of 2,985,922 Covid-19 samples were tested, 234,710 cases reported and 5,281 dead till July 19. On the same day, 2,811 patients were discharged after their recoveries, bringing the total number of patients discharged to 164,670.
