32 Myanmar workers arrested for illegal entry into Thailand

Thai authority arrested 32 Myanmar workers illegally entering Chiang Rai Provence, Thailand, in three vehicles on December 14.

They were followed by officials from the Chiang Rai Provence as they looked suspicious according to news from Thailand.

As the three vehicles carrying Myanmar workers were sending them to various places in Chiang Rai Provence, Thai authority formed groups and followed them. They arrested first pick up vehicle with 10 Myanmar workers at Nanlan village, the second vehicle with 11 Myanmar workers at the junction of that village, and the third vehicle with 11 Myanmar workers at a village of Chiang Rai, it is reported.

Myanmar workers had to pay Baht 6000 each as transportation fee according to a confession made by a driver. They will be taken in accordance with Thai law, it is reported.
