Myanmar saw 187 new Covid-19 confirmed cases on December 28 bringing the total number of patients to 530,000, the Ministry of Health reported.

A total of 12,842 samples were tested between 8 pm of December 27 and 8 pm of December 28 and 187 people tested positive for Covid-19. Moreover, three more patients died bringing total number of death tolls to 19,260, according to the ministry.

On December 28 also, 151 patients were allowed to be discharged from hospitals bringing the total number to 507,586.

The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at private hospitals and labs and using Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council, and all regions and states.
