MYEIK- The 18-decker cruise ship ‘Ms Genting Dream’, carrying over 3,300 visitors from different countries visited Nyaung Oo Phee Island, Kawthoung Township, Taninthayi Region, on December 25th.

The TZK Travel & Tours Company Limited and Hong Kong-based Star Cruise Company arranged for a one-day visit to Victoria Cliff Resort on Nyaung Oo Phee Island.

“In Myanmar, there are many virgin Islands and beaches which can provide the international standard services at the high-class hotels and resorts. Moreover, we aim to boost Taninthayi Region’s blossoming development by promoting its ecotourism, to introduce Myanmar sceneries to the foreign visitors, to create job opportunities for local people and to know about the local products and the customs,” said TZK’s owner Khin Maung Win (a) Sein Gar.

During the trip, relevant departments and local tour agencies in Kawthoung Township provided help for the visitors.

The Genting Dream was registered in Nassau, Bahamas and the measures are 335.35m in length and 150,695 GT in weight. There are 1,850 crew members from various countries and the Captain is Swedish Carl Magnus Folke.

It is the first time that the Ms Genting Dream visited Myanmar. They docked at the Island throughout the day and departed for Singapore on the evening of December 25th.
