In Myanmar 152 people tested positive for Covid-19 and seven died on December 19, the Ministry of Health reported.

A total of 11,476 lab samples tested from 8pm on December 18 to 8pm on December 19, among them 152 new cases were detected. Moreover, seven patients died of Covid-19 complications during the period, the ministry said.

Up till 8pm of December 19 since the outbreak in Myanmar, a total of 5,897,870 lab samples had been tested, 528,253 cases reported and 19,220 patients dead.  

On December 19 also, 292 patients were discharged from hospitals bringing the total number of discharged patients to 505,395.
