According to reports from Thailand, 14 Myanmar nationals who illegally entered the country have been arrested, while the driver responsible for transporting them fled the scene.

The incident took place in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand, where Thai authorities stopped a pickup truck carrying the 14 illegal immigrants at around 3 AM on March 3. Upon inspection, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

The Myanmar nationals were found hiding inside the pickup truck. As the vehicle was stopped for a routine check due to suspicion, the driver left it behind and escaped into the nearby forest.

During questioning, the Myanmar nationals revealed that they had paid a broker 20,000 Thai Baht each to enter Thailand.

Following the arrest, authorities in Kanchanaburi Province, along with military personnel, have detained the pickup truck and the 14 Myanmar nationals for further legal proceedings.
