A total of 16,588 Covid-19 lab samples were tested from 8pm of March 5 to 8pm of March 6, and 1,029 new cases were confirmed, according to the information given by the Ministry of Health on March 6.

Up till 8pm of March 6 from the start of the outbreak in Myanmar, 7,254,327 lab samples were tested, and 598,446 cases detected.

Three more died of Covid-19 during the period bringing the total number of deaths to19,389.

A total of 1,579 patients were discharged from hospitals on March 6 bringing the total number of patients discharged from hospitals to 547,444.
