An armed robbery took place at the Millionaire Gold Shop on Manawhari Road in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region, at around 4:00 p.m. on July 20, according to reports.

The incident occurred at the Millionaire Gold Shop located on Manawhari Road (110th Street), between 62nd and 63rd Streets in Chanmyathazi Township.

According to initial information, about six individuals arrived on motorcycles and fired a handgun before entering the shop. The suspects then seized gold items and fled the scene.

“Authorities are still conducting an inventory and assessment. We estimate that around one viss of gold may have been taken, but the exact amount has not yet been confirmed. At present, none of the perpetrators have been arrested. Efforts are underway to apprehend all those involved,” a responsible official said.

Video footage of the incident reportedly shows the male suspects wearing face masks and motorcycle helmets with their visors down to conceal their identities. After firing a gunshot to intimidate bystanders and prevent anyone from approaching, they entered the shop, grabbed gold items, and escaped.
