Myanmar President Concludes Three-Day State Visit to Laos

Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing and his wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, have departed Laos for Myanmar, concluding their three-day state goodwill visit at the invitation of Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith.

The presidential couple left Luang Prabang International Airport on the afternoon of 5 July after completing the official visit.

They were seen off by Myanmar’s Ambassador to Laos and his wife, the Military Attaché and his wife, staff and families from the Myanmar Embassy and Military Attaché Office, as well as senior Lao officials led by the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and his wife. The Secretary of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee and other local officials also attended the farewell ceremony.

Lao students also waved the national flags of both countries to bid farewell to the visiting delegation.

During the visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing held separate meetings with Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, the President of the Lao National Assembly, and the Lao Prime Minister to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation.
