Residents reported feeling moderate earthquake tremors across Yangon on June 11.
The earthquake struck at approximately 12:15 pm and was felt in many townships, including Ahlon, Thaketa, Hlaing, and Dawbon.
"The tremors were quite strong. It sounded like a thunderclap," said a resident of Thaketa Township.
According to data from several earthquake-monitoring applications, the quake had a magnitude of 4.0 and occurred near Twante at a depth of 10 kilometers.
