Yangon General Hospital (YGH) has opened a hepatitis C clinic at its Outpatient Department and is providing free treatment, according to the hospital.

The clinic operates every Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm and offers free viral load testing for hepatitis C patients, free antiviral medication, and free follow-up care three months after treatment.

In addition, the Outpatient Department provides regular specialist services every Friday from 2 pm to 4 pm, including general medicine, surgery, cardiology, diabetes care, neurology, gastroenterology, maxillofacial and oral disease treatment, orthopedics, dermatology, and mental health services.

Meanwhile, the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC) said that during power outages in Yangon Region, some gas turbines are operated separately to ensure electricity supply to major hospitals.
