A business forum organized by the Yangon Region Young Entrepreneurs Association (YRYEA) was held to discuss issues related to business development.

The forum took place on February 8 at the Melia Hotel in Yangon.

“Our association regularly organizes events like this to help young entrepreneurs build stronger and more sustainable businesses. The main goal is to encourage cooperation among young entrepreneurs so they can better understand one another. At the same time, we aim to preserve the traditions and guidance passed down from senior business leaders during generational transitions, so that we can develop a more complete and effective organization,” said YRYEA Chairman Ko Thurain Aung.

At the forum, U Aye Han from UPG Paint and Coating and UPG Mining and Processing shared the company’s journey with young entrepreneurs. He explained the challenges they had faced, how they overcame them, and what needs to be done when transferring responsibilities from one generation to the next.

Participants also discussed their own experiences of inheriting and taking over businesses from their parents.

The discussion was held in two sessions. The first session featured talks by experienced entrepreneurs and a panel discussion among young business owners. The second session focused on collaboration with investors, as well as legal and financial protections.

The business forum, titled “From Family Roots to Global Alliances,” was attended by young entrepreneurs and representatives from various businesses.
