The Union Election Commission (UEC) has announced the names of 110 military representatives to the Pyithu Hluttaw, including Major-General Ye Kyaw Thu, on February 7 through Announcement No. (32/2026).
The UEC has scrutinized the names of the following military personnel who were nominated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8 of the Pyithu Hluttaw Election Law for the multiparty democratic general election held in phases starting from December 28, 2025, and has declared them as military representatives to the Pyithu Hluttaw in accordance with Section 31 of the Pyithu Hluttaw Election Law, it announced.
According to the announcement, the 110 military representatives to the Pyithu Hluttaw include one Major-General, 10 Brigadier Generals, 18 Colonels, 42 Lieutenant Colonels, 27 Majors, and 12 Captains.
In addition, 22 female military officers are among the 110 military representatives to the Pyithu Hluttaw, according to the UEC announcement.
