It is reported that U Aung Lin Dwe, Chief Executive of the Office of the National Defence and Security Council (NDSC), provided food supplies to security personnel currently serving in Rakhine State on December 16.

The ceremony to present food supplies to members of the security forces carrying out national defence and security duties was held on the morning of December 16 at the Rakhine State Government Guesthouse.

The event was attended by Union ministers, members of the NDSC Central Advisory Group, the Rakhine State Chief Minister, Deputy Commander-in-Chief (Army) Lt-Gen Nyi Nyi Oo, the Commander of the Western Command, members of the state government, responsible officials from the Sittwe military garrison, the commander of Police Battalion No. (4), the Rakhine State Police Chief, and other officials.

At the ceremony, Chief Executive U Aung Lin Dwe expressed appreciation for all security personnel who are diligently carrying out security duties to ensure stability, peace, and the rule of law in Rakhine State. He also acknowledged and commended their sense of duty and morale in serving the nation.

He further urged them to continue carrying out their responsibilities with even greater effort than before, in accordance with existing laws, and with pure goodwill and strong determination, so as to prevent loss or damage to the lives and property of the public.

Following the remarks, the Chief Executive presented food supplies to the security personnel performing national defence and security duties.

Afterwards, the Chief Executive and his delegation paid a visit to the sacred Lawkananda Pagoda, where they offered flowers, water, and oil lamps, and made donations for renovation and maintenance works at the pagoda.

They then proceeded to inspect the completion status of two steel-structure glass enclosures constructed to protect the Maravijaya Buddha Image and the Abhaya Rajamuni Buddha Image, which are enshrined on the platform of Lawkananda Pagoda. The structures, measuring 27 feet 11 inches in length, 21 feet 9 inches in width, and 15 feet in height, are intended to allow the public to pay homage peacefully while protecting the images from saltwater exposure from the sea and natural disasters. Responsible officials provided briefings during the inspection.

Subsequently, the Chief Executive  and his delegation paid homage to the Maravijaya and Abhaya Rajamuni Buddha images and toured the pagoda platform to inspect the completed paving works using heat-resistant stone slabs.

Thereafter, the Chief Executive  and his team inspected the construction of a 1,580-foot-long earthen road leading from in front of Alodawpyi Monastery to Sittwe Airport. After receiving briefings from responsible officials regarding the progress of the works, the Executive Chief provided necessary guidance and conducted a site inspection along the entire road by vehicle, according to reports.
