Belarusian ministers visiting Myanmar paid their respects at the Shwedagon Pagoda on November 29. The delegation included Industry Minister Andrei Kuzniatsou, Agriculture and Food Minister Yury Horlau, Health Minister Aliaksandr Khajayeu, and Bellegprom Chair Nadzeya Lazarevich. Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Yangon Region Government welcomed them.
At the pagoda, the delegation offered flowers, water, candles, and incense to the Buddha image and signed the guest book. They also received commemorative gifts from pagoda trustees.
The ministers then visited the Jade Buddha Image and toured religious buildings in the compound. They took group photos at the Aung Myay platform and rang the King Thayawadi Bell at the Sunday Corner to make good wishes.
The delegation later toured Bogyoke Market, where they viewed and purchased gemstones, jade, traditional crafts, jewelry, paintings, and textile products.
In the evening, the Belarusian foreign minister, industry minister, agriculture minister, health minister, and other delegates departed Yangon by air at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Bellegprom chair and her team at 7:45 p.m. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and senior officials saw them off at Yangon International Airport.
Before departure, Chief Minister U Soe Thein presented Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov with a photo album documenting the delegation’s visit in Yangon.
